We’re Making Progress

This week has been a white blur! As a follow up to lasts week’s post, I would like to share a progress update on this home because once we get the rest of the furniture, throw pillows, final window treatments, art and decor installed, the well-painted white walls will be forgotten.

However, from color selection, to wall prep and what kind of brush or sprayer to use, to details like light switch plate changes and installing window shades, these early steps are critical to creating camera-ready final shots.

I honestly love reading paint color names, and selecting colors with coordinating fabrics is probably my favorite part of my job. However, narrowing down the best white paint for a specific room is a little daunting. There are literally hundreds of shades of white that could potentially look perfect (or slightly yellow, too pink, too grey or kind of purple!) in a given space. Everything comes down to lighting, the direction of the sun and undertones.

So I would like to pause at this part-way phase and thank my hardworking carpenters, door installers, window treatment gal, and furniture movers (who are mostly not on IG because they are out meeting deadlines), and a special shout out to @fortheloveofpaint for a job well done!

By the way, the white blur was brought to you by Sherwim Williams Snowbound. Yes, Snowbound. And next week is July. I told you paint names are fun!
