Personal Space

Whether you are in-person or distance learning, 6 feet apart or just need a little time alone, we all value our personal space. So why not make it personal?

Over the years, I have found that framing my children’s artwork is a huge self-esteem boost for them. By framing their artwork, parents can celebrate their child’s creativity and provide them with a lasting display of their achievements. This boosts their confidence and also encourages them to continue exploring and expressing themselves artistically.

In this room, I selected a simple black frame for all of the art, bringing cohesion to the varied sizes and artistic styles. Alternatively, you can choose frames that stand out and make a statement, adding an element of playful contrast to the room.

As children grow and develop, their artwork evolves too. Rotating displays can keep the room from feeling stagnant. Framing a select number of pieces and periodically swapping them out will keep the display fresh and exciting. This approach allows for continued appreciation of their creations while preventing the room from becoming cluttered.

Framing a child’s artwork is a great way to make any space (even a boring homework area!) colorful, interesting and yes, very personal.
