Finding Solutions
Problem solved. In this cozy home office, eight-foot windows provide natural light and architectural interest. But there is always a catch, right?
Problem: An exterior door and odd side window did not allow for typical fixed panel options. (That’s fancy for: the door would not open if a big curtain was hanging next to it and we wanted all the windows to match.)
Solution: A custom top-down bottom-up shade. (That’s fancy for: a cool curtain that can either go all the way up or all the way down.)
The craftsmanship is incredible, with a box pleat valence that hides hardware and coordinating panels on adjacent windows. (That’s fancy for: All the stripes line up, the cute little detail at the top looks great and they match the long drapes on the other windows.)
