Artist Spotlight: Jose Trujillo
I will probably never order a wooden sign that says “This way to the Lake,” but I will absolutely always help my clients find inspiring original artwork to highlight the beauty of their surroundings and bring the outdoors in. Original art is one of the best ways to #enjoyyourview.
Four paintings arrived this week for a project that I cannot wait to share. Jose Trujillo is a modern artist with incredible talent. I absolutely love his use of color. He was was born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1982, and moved to the United States of America with his family when he was just nine-years-old. Although he currently lives in Tucson, Arizona with my wife and son, many of his pieces perfectly reflect the outdoorsy, lakes and trees themes my Hayden Lake clients are inspired by.
I echo this quote by Bill Tomicki, former vice president of Sotheby’s and Tiffany & Co. when he said,
“Artist Jose Trujillo: a modern Monet. Jose Trujillo is an impressionist painter of rare talent, a prolific painter whose landscapes, seascapes and still lifes are a dreamy, fantasy of colors. His brushwork is impeccable and we think he is to be collected now, before his prices skyrocket and galleries, collectors and museums take notice, which they are sure to do.”
