Find Some Shade

Another Spring Break post about shade:

This week I worked out the details for some custom shades to be installed in a project that is going to be stunning! With a little planning, shades can be hard-wired into your home and the result provides simple light control in any room.

The beauty of automated shades lies in their ability to seamlessly integrate into modern smart home systems. With the rise of home automation, these shades can be easily controlled through voice commands, smartphone apps, or programmable schedules. This allows you to effortlessly adjust shade positions based on preferences or specific time of day, even when you are away from home. This adds a touch of modern sophistication to any room.

While the “techy” family members will enjoy watching the shades automatically move up and down, the “penny-pinching” family members will delight in watching the energy bills automatically go down.

Automated shades have a positive impact on the energy efficiency of a home or office by minimizing heat gain in the summer and heat loss in the winter. During hot summer months, these shades can automatically adjust to block out intense sunlight, thus reducing the need for excessive air conditioning. In colder seasons, they can open up during the day, allowing natural sunlight to passively heat the space, thereby reducing reliance on artificial heating. This energy-saving feature not only benefits the environment but also leads to significant cost savings on utility bills.

Gone are the days when automated shades were only limited to simple, plain designs. My favorite part about these shades is the wide range of styles, colors, and fabrics available. I particularly love the transparent fabrics that allow for privacy AND to see the view.

Whether you prefer clean and contemporary or warm and traditional, there is a solution that perfectly aligns with your  design aesthetic. The ability to customize automated shades ensures that they blend seamlessly into the overall design concept, adding both functionality and beauty to the space.
